SaaS Security

Software as a Service (SaaS) is a software delivery method that provides access to software and its functions remotely as a Web-based service. Also, because the software is hosted remotely, users don’t need to invest in additional hardware. SaaS removes the need for organizations to handle the installation, set-up and often daily upkeep and maintenance.

Killabot Technologies Inc. provides SaaS Security applications aimed at protecting Port 80 – The Web Server. Our software, running as a web service, inspects incoming web requests and detects a variety of dangerous parameters that could negatively affect a web server’s performance or security. The web service transport layer is accomplished via XML-RPC.

Communication between the Client Web Server(s) and the Killabot APx System is handled via XML-Connectors. Consider the XML Language to be a universal translator between computer systems running different platforms and different languages. The XML Language makes integration possible between a Web Server(s) that runs Perl as it’s native server-side language and the Killabot System running PHP as it’s native server-side language.

We understand that there is a wide variety of Platforms running Internet Applications today and to that effect our Software Engineers have written XML-Connector software for the five most popular, and widely used, Web Server languages.

Killabot XML Connectors

There are five XML-Connectors currently available to Clients and each has been extensively tested to conform to our demanding specifications. There are XML-Connectors available in Perl, VB.NET, Java, C#.NET and PHP. A sixth XML-Connector, Classic ASP, is scheduled to be released 6/1/09.
